A Mini Guide to Paris

A Mini Guide to Paris

Hi there, welcome back! I hope you guys are having a lovely week so far. I missed posting yesterday because it was a holiday (Mothersday) here in Belgium and I got so caught up in house work that I completely forgot to finish this blog post. But, here we are. Better late than never, am I right? Well, this post *really* is a latecomer. I’m throwing it way back here, back to a time where I was closer in age to 20 than 30, my&…

Jardin de Luxembourg in the fall

Jardin de Luxembourg in the fall

It has been almost a year since I last went to Paris. A whole year. These last 365 days have gone by faster than any time in my life and it doesn’t feel like time is slowing down. I never got around to post about all about our trip to Paris. Things happened shortly after and I disappeared from my blog for a while. I’m still not fully back into my old blogging routine, but now that fall is here again …

Paris In The Fall

Paris In The Fall

Every girl, and definitely every girl with a quotes board on Pinterest, knows that Paris is always a good idea. But you know what’s even better? Paris in the fall! I’m bitten by the travel bug, so when K asked me this summer if I felt like going to Paris we immediately sealed the deal. It was only by September that I realized how well we timed our visit, because I have always wanted to see Paris covered by a blanket …

A family weekend in Paris

A family weekend in Paris

In April, my mom, youngest sister and I went to Paris for a weekend. It was my fourth visit to the city of love and lights, but for both my mom and sister is was their first. You can imagine how excited they were! My sister mainly wanted to go shopping, so on our first day we headed to Le Marais to visit Ted Baker, Michael Kors and – my personal favorite – L’élclair de Génie, which you might remember …

5 hours in paris

So yeah, this happened. And I still cannot entirely believe that it did. At first, my weekend wasn’t looking up to be a good one. Lots of PowerPoint presentations to catch up on, tens of papers to read, an extra college to attend, spending all my leftover money on school books and feeling a little sick made me feel pretty stressed at the end of …

Versailles

Versailles

A little outside of paris there’s a beautiful domain named Versailles. The castle seems like it’s made of gold and the gardens are immense! Versailles was my favorite part of our trip (and probably K’s too). We had amazing weather, all the flowers were blossoming and the ponds were full of people in little boats. To add to all the magic there was music by Mozart. This year we also had time to visit the Marie Antoinette mansion. We …

An evening stroll in Paris

An evening stroll in Paris

Our first day in Paris, we payed a quick visit to Château de Vincennes and Parc Floral. It was really sunny outside. A sudden 30°C outburst in September, after a two week monsoon? Cah-raazay! If K wouldn’t have stopped me, I would have jumped into the lily pond to cool off. After we visited Parc Floral, we decided to stop by St-Michel to grab a pancake. St-Michel is the lively area next to the Notre Dame. Out of ideas …

Disneyland: The Pictures

Disneyland: The Pictures

Last weekend the boyfriend and I drove to France to go to Disneyland. We had to get up at 4am and were home at midnight, I was so tired! We celebrated my birthday with a huge candy floss and enjoyed the themepark. Here are some {very touristic, I know} photos of the day! You see why I said huge candy floss? It’s 2x the size of my head! I now must return to my books. There is only one week of vacation left …
