The not-so-short cut

The not-so-short cut

H&M top & cardigan • And Other Stories skirt • Veritas tights • Boo heels • Forever 21 necklace The post titles on my blog are starting to resemble my High School English class vocabulary of when we learned about directions, roads and traffic. I should change that. Okay, so my hair. I couldn’t do it. It’s so stupid how emotional you can get over hair, isn’t it? And the fact that I was having that monthly-thing-no-woman-likes definitely added its part to the drama-effect too. At first, my hairdresser cut off about 2 centimeters …

Dead end

Dead end

J.crew sweater • Gap jeans • Cypres heels I have a hairdressers appointment on Saturday morning. It’s been a long time coming, but I think I have officially lost my battle against the dead, dry and split ends that have been disfiguring my long hair for a few years now. It started with an inch, but at this moment my hair is very damaged up to my shoulders. Cutting off the split ends I spot, or even completely pulling out the hairs no longer suffices. And the latter really hurts, too.  I never really used to …

Shametuck fail

Shametuck fail

Gap Jeans & Shirt • Anne Klein Flats  2085 words are lying nicely printed out next to me. My first essay is finished, and I’m still not sure about it, and everyone is still freaking out on Facebook but this thing is going into my professors mailbox first thing in the morning. Now it’s time for a bit of well-deserved blogging. Haters gonna hate and tucking in your shirt only half tends to get a lot of hate. Especially the generation previous to mine doesn’t really appreciate it. *cough* Mom *cough*. I …

Leaves are made for matching

Massimo Dutti shirt • Zara Jeans • Cypres heels • Forever 21 necklace If you are seeing this post, that must mean my concentration potion has completely run out. I don’t think it has ever taken me this long to write a two thousand word essay, but with a syllabus that’s contradicting itself  on every new page and only a very vague description of what we need to type out this essay is far from finished. I’m at a thousand five hundred right now. And I am writing a blog post, desperately trying to …

Farming girl

Farming girl

NW3 by Hobbs “Irina” dress • Christian Di Riccio via Torfs strappy sandals  I, very lovingly, call this dress my farming dress. The fresh blue color and fun off-white and turquoise squared print remind me so much of the pottery you find in typical English (or even Dutch) country-side homes. Not that I have actually been inside one, but I like to think I’m an expert now that I have seen basically all existing episodes of Midsomer Murders and even the occasional Kirstie’s Homemade Home. About that last show: how many coats does …

Travel outfit: Pont Neuf, Paris

Massimo Dutti top • Gap Jeans • Jonak booties • Nikon camera bag *Yawn*. I still am a bit sleep-deprived after this weekend, even though I got a few good nights of sleep this week. It’s been going well. Most classes are very interesting and have a good build and are very structured, so I don’t feel the transition from my last school to uni too much. There’s one course however that is going to costs me pure blood, sweat and tears to finish. Many students will agree: Statistics is not for pussies. So, …
