Tips & Things To Do In Edinburgh

Tips & Things To Do In Edinburgh

At the end of 2016 it became pretty clear that 2017 would be my biggest year so far when it comes to travelling. I had only just returned from my Caribbean cruise adventure and my next three holidays were already booked. The first destination for the new year? SCOTLAND! Edinburgh really stole our hearts the first time we visited. I’m not sure whether it was the charming cityscapes, the equally charming residents or the darn good pub food, it was clear that we’d be coming back even far before we left the first time. It was at our …

New York, New York

New York, New York

Day 1: Williamsburg, Maman Coffee & The Daily Show From the tropical rainforest straight to the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Or as I mostly saw it: from 30°C straight to -5. New York welcomed us into its ice cold arms, just the way it did when we first visited all the way back in 2012. Started our days in NYC the only way I know how: with coffee! Toby’s Estate is a specialty coffee roaster and bar located in the heart of Williamsburg. It’s a hub for hipsters, so a gem to spot …

Docks Bruxsel Food Court & White Cinema

Docks Bruxsel Food Court & White Cinema

It’s not every day that a new shopping center opens its doors in teeny tiny Belgium, so when that happens you know everyone is going to be all about it! The buzz around Docks Bruxsel hasn’t calmed down since its opening in late 2016 and I had been dying to pay a visit. When my blogger buddy Eline asked me if I wanted to join her for the blogger presentation of the food court I jumped for joy! To Brussels we went! We got to the event a little early so we did some widow shopping to …

A Hipster Guide to Cozumel, Mexico

A Hipster Guide to Cozumel, Mexico

Mexico, land of taco’s and Tequila, was the very last stop before our ship returned to Miami. I hadn’t read up on the city and from what I knew it was a shopping place for tourists. Playa del Carmen and Tulum aren’t far off, so I was expecting Cozumel to be buzzing with people. In reality, Cozumel was the most peaceful and calm place we visited and quite possibly the most colorful too. Let’s take a tour! The cruise terminal was one big shopping walhalla with primarily cheap souvenir shops and …

La Pura Vida in Puerto Limòn, Costa Rica

La Pura Vida in Puerto Limòn, Costa Rica

Puerto Limòn was one of my favorite stops during our MSC Cruise. Known as the land of Sloths, bananas and coffee I should have know even before docking into the port that this day was going to be a good one! “First things first!” we thought and we went off to explore the city center. It’s a very small town that you can easily cover on foot in just a few short hours. First we walked through the busy shopping streets and then we headed into the more residential area. Do not expect to …

Monkey Business on the Panama Canal

Monkey Business on the Panama Canal

After our visit to colorful Cartagena our ship made way for the port of Cristóbal, Panama. Cristóbal seems to have a bad reputation. We were adviced by our agency to book an excursion for the day and there was talk about holdups and armed robberies on the ship. Once we arrived there was police all around our cruise ship. We had docked in the port itself, next to a line of container ships. After breakfast we got on board of an excursion bus. There were police escorts out of the port for those who wanted to …
