When the July sales end and august rolls around, my mind automatically switches to Fall. I start to miss cinnamon and mulled wine, stepping on crunchy leaves and wearing blazers.
The July sales are also a time where I start prepping my Fall wardrobe. There are so many good deals to be done on coats and booties in July, that it’d be crazy not to start planning ahead. While browsing the sales I also take a sneaky peek at the new in sections. I love seeing what different stores are stocking for the new season as it helps planning what I want to buy next and learn what trends bubbling up.
When I noticed that J.Crew had dropped their new pre-fall collection – their first one ever actually – I immediately clicked through. J.Crew has been a favorite one-shop-stop for Fall clothes for years now and their newest collections did not disappoint! I started scrolling and before I knew it, my shopping basket was filled to the brim with cute Summer to Fall transition pieces. Below are my favorites!
Juliette Collarless Sweater-Blazer in colors dove and khaki (€176,28) – J.Crew has combined my love for long cardigans and blazers into one. No wonder that I love this items so much! It’ll work so well with skinny jeans (eother black or dark wash) and any of my white shirts and T-shirts. It’s that perfect easy to throw on piece that I’ll wear over and over again.
Regent Blazer in Black (€235,84) and Martie Pant in Black (€94,69) – I’m not lying when I say that I’ve been eyeing the Regent Blazer for nine years. I’ve featured it on my blog many times before. I tried to buy one in New York, Miami, Nashville and NOLA, but they never had one in stock. In recent years it seemed that they had discontinued everyone’s favorite blazer, but now it’s back in stock! The Martie pants pair perfectly with it.
Academy Penny Loafers (€212,02) – The J.Crew shoe section is home to some pretty good footwear. Their Academy loafers have long been on my wish list, but I’ve managed to find a similar pair from G.H. Bass in the sale for half the price. They’re still a beautiful shoe and the fit my style perfectly.
Ruffleneck classic popover shirt (€94,69) – We all know J.Crew does the most perfect tartan and plaid, but they also have shirts in other fun prints and I’m absolutely loving this one! Over dark wash skinny jeans or dressy black tousers, it’s that perfect blouse for Fall. Consider it wish listed!
Button-front eyelet peasant top (€116,73) – Eyelet, lace, embroidery or broderie anglaise: I’ll have it all! By now you are probably familiar with my white lace addiction, but I figured black would be better fitted for Fall. This top ticks a lot of boxes for me: eyelet, 3/4 sleeves, round neck and the perfect length. I’m imagining this over jeans and paired with ballet flats. Maybe a round rattan bag?
