Making a home with Hema

As some of you may know, I transferred to uni this summer to chase a masters degree in Sociology. When I was studying Social Work, I used to commute to school everyday. It took a two hour bus drive to get there, with long stops and two switches in between that I absolutely hated. Since the university of Antwerp was even further away, my parents and I made the decision that it was best for me to look out for a studio in the city to stay in during the week. And so I did. And so I found one. It’s very small, but it has a perfect location. Across the university entrance and the student restaurant, a short walk from the main shopping area aaaaand there’s a coffee bar a mere twenty meters from my doorstep. Can’t get any better than that! My studio is fully furnished, but I still needed a lot of kitchen – and bathroom supplies before I can move in this Monday. I’ve been stalking my favorite decor stores all summer to find all the things I need and love! Hema, an originally Dutch store, always knows what a girl wants. Their whimsy kitchen wares are instant happy-makers and everything looks so colorful and sweet. Personally, I would like to keep things basic with little fun touches. I took a look in their web shop and maaaan, was that a bad idea! My money’s going to roll… and this is what I’m eyeing:
Grey jar with floral detail €5.50 • Grey jar with wood stop €6.75 • Glass bell-shaped container   , €7.75 • stackable glass bowls , €2.95 a piece • Striped tea towels , €5 per pack of 4 • yellow flask , 0.5 liter , €17.50

Those are definitely worth eyeing. I recently started watching Giada at Home (yay cable!) and have become obsessed with clear bowls. Like, you can't be awesome in life unless you have them.
