Confession: this was one of the most awkward shoots in my history as a fashion blogger. For reals. It’s been a long time since I felt so uncomfortable while being out and about doing, you know, “the blogger thing”. I had been wanting to shoot in front of this building for a while A) because it’s a true beauty and B) because they decorated the windows with pieces of gold foil for the Holidays and that just looked really cute. The only downside is that it lies on a very busy corner in Antwerp South and I chose to shoot on very sunny Sunday that also happened to be the last shopping day before NYE and I get really self-conscious about what I’m doing when people stare at me. I should have known better, haha. My awkward poses in this very public space resulted in 308 photos of which only 22 were semi-decent, but hey, I got my blog post!
All awkwardness aside, I really loved the outfit we were shooting that day. You can probably tell why! It’s no secret that I love good blazers and I’ve recently dedicated a whole blog post to my silk blouse. Give me good basic pieces and I’m a happy kid. We also had some fun with my new camera’s focusing options. I was wearing my new watch from the new Belgian brand Amalys and thought I’d be fun to play with different angles to capture it. I love how the photos turned out! I love how all of my photos with my new camera turn out really, haha! I don’t wear accessoiries that often anymore, but I’ve worn this watch quite a lot lately. I received it as a gift at their launch party which you might have seen pictures of in my InstaStories. It is elegantly small and fits my tiny wrists perfectly. I also love the combination of the rose gold hardware and night blue dial. The colors fit nicely with my burgundy blazer.

I LOVE that blazer! So nice. And I think you look great! Your awkwardness doesn’t show through in these. The gold window treatments were worth the weird feeling while taking them, haha.

Oh you did well getting so many photos in such a busy spot! That’s a lovely backdrop for photos too. I tend not to like doing photos if there’s an audience at all, I’ll take one or two shots, so good on you for persisting!
I love your hair in these photos, just as much as I love your burgundy blazer with your outfit 🙂
Hope that the first week of 2018 went well for you and that this week is off to a good start too!
