One of the oldest memories I have about shopping is from the day my parents gave me a little pink bottle of Zodiac perfume at Pimkie in the Wijnegem shopping center. I must have been around 9 or 10, but I can still perfectly imagine the Taurus scent today. This little pink bottle was the only thing I ever bought at Pimkie until recently. 15 years wiser and with Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt as my mature signature scent, I stepped inside the store after reading about their home collection. Guys, no other fashion store has ever done a home department so well (IMHO), but what I really want to say today is that there’s also no other store that has done starry things so well this season. After buying mostly basic items for my wardrobe over the last years I was surprised to fall in love with this star print dress. I couldn’t get it out of my mind and even tough I totally didn’t need it I thought it’d get it anyway. Just because I could. Most of my dresses are serious looking, but the fun print and the dropped hem make this one cutesy and swirly. The dress plays nice with my new extra long H&M Cardigan, but also looks mighty fine with my Massimo Dutti leather jacket. Prepare to see that second look up on the blog once the weather allows for it!
I haven’t got much else to say today. We just returned from Scotland and I’ve spend the whole weekend cleaning up, doing a bit around the new house (the kitchen tiles went in!) and finally finishing my blog posts about our vacation in the USA and the Caribbean. The first travel post will be online on Thursday and the rest will follow throughout February. I’m super excited to make February “Travel Month” here on The Ginger Diaries! Stay tuned!
