If you thought my new job had gotten the best of me, well, you’re pretty right. I’m not in for much activity after coming home and am usually fast asleep by 8:30pm. It’s not hard to choose between active thinking/writing or mindlessly watching OITNB in such a state. Blogging has been a bit of a task lately, but I have kept working hard behind the scenes. Exciting, but mostly long overdue changes are coming up and I can’t wait to get everything set up this weekend. I call it modernization work! But whatever happens behind the scenes doesn’t matter much if nothing happens on the front stage. So, here I am again, to show you that I am still here and will remain, but also to show you my new favorite color combination!
The main ingredients for my last outfit were grey pants and a pastel pink top and I liked the recipe so much I tried it again. Different pieces, but same palette. It’s fair to say that I’m not very inspired when it comes to dressing myself lately and I have been grabbing for the same pieces over and over. That is what getting up at 5:15am every morning does to my brain juice. Not even Pinterest can help! I’ve been pinning basic outfit like a hardcore minimalist. While looking at my pin boards I noticed I was pinning an awful lot of outfits with things I didn’t even have in my own wardrobe. Case in point: strappy tops, with our without lace trims. Dang, I love that lingerie trend! When I was waiting for a friend in Antwerp somewhere last week I remembered that I spotted the perfect strappy camis at New Look last year and so I went in to see if they still stock them. Guys: New Look is strappy cami heaven! I was going to get a simple black one, but they had so much pretty things that I couldn’t help myself. I picked up two, was expecting I would have to pay for both but then somehow got one for free. Now that I think of it, I could have bought 4 for the price I was expecting to pay… . Maybe if I go back tomorrow… .
I don’t have much else to report. Life has been going it’s way. I forgot I am officially graduating from uni tomorrow and I didn’t buy tickets so I can’t go to my own graduation ceremony tomorrow, haha. My job is getting the best and most of me, so I tend to forget other aspects of my life these days. It also has been raining non stop for over a month so all the fun summer activities we had planned have been cancelled. Not much else has been done other than watching Netflix, eating out and sleeping in. And guess what I’m going to do now? Trying not to fall asleep while watching OITNB and possibly eat some ProperCorn. Sounds like a plan!

Oh no what a shame you can’t go to the ceremony, after all your hard work! 🙁 So sorry to hear that.
Hopefully your new job settles down and gets less hectic soon 🙂
I really like the pink and grey together – you’re making me realise I need to hunt out and wear my grey jeans!

Minimalism is great for work outfits. Less thinking in those early mornings we don’t want to be out of bed for. 🙂
