Last weekend, K and I headed for the city to enjoy the first sunny days of Spring. It was a most amazing weekend with a visit to the local market and a long, loooong walk through the city and harbor K picked out a nice old piece of cheese from his favorite market stand and I and finally got myself a huuuuge bag with a nut mix. We enjoyed our treats while catching up on series before we stretched our legs and started our very own tour d’Anvers. Ah. After months of shivering in the cold, it felt so nice to be out in a lightweight jacket and cool off with a delicious mango and lemon ice cream. As my camera is pretty has pretty much grown to my hand I got most of our walk covered. Antwerp is a very photogenic city. There are so many cobblestone streets, artsy buildings, abandoned houses, churches and other things to capture. As I was a little lazy that day I have to admit that I had my camera in auto mode most of the time. I really wanted to have that bright blue sky in the photos, but as I’m not too familiar with shutter speed yet the full manual mode is not something I can handle. With all the sunshine we’ve been getting I hope to go outside more often and explore my camera and its settings more. Enjoy the virtual tour and I’ll be back on Monday with a new post!

Belgium looks really beautiful and sounds intriguing! Ive been there for a few hours while driving from paris to rome on a road trip. Unfortunately I was completely groggy and in the post (longest flight of my life yet!) fog. (Im in the states.) I do remember stopping for lunch though! I am taking the big leap over the pond again to study abroad next spring and am planning on doing some extensive traveling. Any particular Belgium recommendations? Any must sees? Also, your blog is so lovely. Ive just gotten started with blogging and am trying to get mine out here! So far I think I'm the only one that reads it. Your blog is an inspiration for mine! Thanks, (travel ideas?!), have a great day! Meghan @ http://think-aboutsuchthings.blogspot.com/

Away From Blue
Mooi!

I love the architecture in Europe. It's so different than anything over here in the US. It's nice to see it through blogger's eyes. Your trail mix looks so scrumptious! I love raisins and almonds! <3

leuke foto's, ik kom niet zo veel in Antwerpen omdat het redelijk ver is van de kust. En als ik er kom is het om te shoppen. 🙂
