On the program are:New York City and Washington DC!
The 9 hours long flight might will cause me a serious jet lag, haha.
I have read through some tourist guides already and I have made a little list of things I can’t miss out on! Maybe some of you still have ideas on what I must see/do/hear/eat/shop? All tips are welcome!
I depart in Paris, August 28th and I’ll be back on September 8th.I am on the hunt for some guest bloggers to keep things movin’ around here while I’m gone ^^
EDIT: Due to Irene and safety reasons our flights got cancelled. Oh well, better luck next year!

You should check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art if it isn't already on your list of things to do/see. It's my favourite place to go whenever I visit NYC. 🙂
I hope you have lots of fun on your trip!

So cool! Be sure to check out Georgetown when you're in D.C! I almost didn't see it but then I had a day of exploring by myself and decided to walk across the bridge. It has the COOLEST old historic houses and a beautiful college. I absolutely fell in love. Hope you have a gorgeous time! I love both those cities quite a bit. 🙂

That sounds super exciting. I have never been to that half of the country, so I can't offer you any advice about where to go, but I look forward to seeing your photos!
It's killing me that I totally have the money to travel but can't take the time away from work to go places. I'll live vicariously through you, I suppose.

I just went to New York City for the first time ever, and it was beyond amazing! Make sure you go to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the atmosphere there is wonderful! Go to Beacon's Closet (88 N 11th Street) vintage and second hand clothing and for vegetarian and vegan food, go to Bliss Café (191 Bedford Ave). Both places are in Williamsburg.
And this one may be obvious, but go to Grand Central Station, it is so gorgeous. And if it is still open, the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the Met, it was STUNNING.

No problem, glad I could help, even though my NYC experience is truly minimal. Double-check where that Amtrak train leaves, though, because when I went to Buffalo with Amtrak, it was from Penn Station.

Fun!!! Oh gosh, New York is so beautiful and crazy all at the same time! My favorite part of my trip to NYC was standing completely still in the middle of TIme Square and just watching and listening to the thousands of people moving around you. Everyone seemed to be in such a hurry!
