By The Water

My blog is now officially called The Ginger Diaries again.
And whilest we were changing things, why not change the lay-out again too?
How’d’ya like it?

We went to see “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Pt 2” the other night. Since the age of 8, Daniel Radcliffe and his mates have been around in my life and I have to admit I almost had to blink out a tear when the subtitles came on screen knowing that the magic was over. No more nervous waiting for the next book or movie to be released. A little nuance: I’ve only read books 1-5, cause then I hit puberty and suddenly reading Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince was the least of my concers {Oh hello real life magical boys and malls!}. I don’t even own the seventh book. One day I’ll read them again. But right now the sight of book 5 (I tried reading 6, but I could not remember anything about book 5!) is still a bit terrifying. I’ve set my mind on reading what our local teenage magazine said would be the new “Twilight”.
Let “The Hunger Games” begin.

This outfit is so cute and simple! I'm in the opposite boat, I've read all the Harry Potter books but have only seen movies 1-5.
The last couple Harry Potter books were so large they were kind of daunting to me. But the 7th one is SO GOOD! Glad that the movie was too, I'll sit down and watch them eventually.

Adorable outfit! And I definitely recommend reading the last books, even though they are quite long, it will be worth it. It makes the movies more magical in my opinion 🙂

  6. 17 July 2011 / 14:22

Love your outfit, amazing color! Even puberty couldn't hold me from being a total Harry Potter nerd, that's why I was some kind of weirdo on high school haha, not that I mind though, had a great time. I did shed many tears, it will never be really over. And the Hunger Games is amazing, read the first book 2 years ago and been a fan since. All though I don't like the fact it's being called the new Twilight already. Well I still love it though.

I was really into HP for a bit, then after book four, lost interest. But a month before 7 came out decided to read them, fell back in love, and had a good cry at the end. I haven't seen the movies though.

  33. 19 July 2011 / 05:02

I didn't grow up with Harry Potter (was very late to the books and films) but I do love how I read the Hunger Games a couple years ago. Twilight was too juvenile for me, and I'm happy I can be on a bandwagon!
