I used to have eagle eyes. I Could read the bus number when it was still a mile away! Cool huh? But then, when I was 15, I could not even read the blackboard when sitting on the back row in class. I needed glasses. Tricking my mom into buying me lenses was harder than I thought, so I had to do wear my glasses for two years. Gosh, I hated those greasy fingers on the glass! Spend fortunes on cleaning tissues those days. Now I only wear my glasses in the evening, when my eyes get tired of wearing lenses all day. Since my sight got even worse and my glasses were never ‘upgraded’, I needed a new set of new ones. Every so many years our medical insurance pays back about €50 when you buy a new pair of glasses. So my mom has made an appointment with the optician in a few weeks. Can’t wait to wear my new glasses! I can better start stocking those cleaning tissues again…

(about the eagle eyes) Jammer dat je dat nu niet meer kan 🙂 Mijn ogen zijn ook steeds slechter aan het worden, ik draag nu ook al een tijdje een bril, maar enkel om ver te kijken 🙂 vind het nog wel leuk zo, maar ik denk dat het wel vervelend wordt als je de hele dag lenzen of een bril moet dragen. Nu ja, niet dat je daar veel aan kan doen jammer genoeg 🙂

Unfortunately, I never have looked good in glasses and had to wear them throughout my childhood years. I got contacts when I was thirteen though and couldn't be more happy with them!
