Pressdays: The Big Tour

Today I have more spring / summer goodness for you. I teamed up with Naomi from the blog Dress Your Life, and together we made a plan to visit our three favorite showrooms in one day. As we are both style bloggers, it’s needless to say that we came, we saw and we fell in love. Today I have a small list of my favorites from that day, starting with the Marnix and Ally PR agency, a stop by the Media Mania showroom and last but not al all least: my first time visit with Oona PR.

Marnix & Ally

For the second pressdays in a row, Marnix and Ally steals the prize for most amazing showroom in the city. It’s small, but it appears to be so light and open. A major plus are the grand doors and beautiful glass windows. It’s a beautiful building and it houses a beautiful collection. Here’s what I spotted:


Gold

New this time around is the online fashion and lifestyle shop Sorbet Seams that aims to support small and upcoming designers. Most of the items you can find in the webshop are handmade. My personal favorites? These golden shimmer twins treasure lashes and  a colorful necklace by Bluebird. Also really into gold is Mieke Dierckx, who designed this fabulous gold tassel necklace and cube bag.
Cozy
Another new name: WOO, short for World Of Opportunities. These candles are handmade in Indochina, where the people came up with the creative idea to re-use old bottles and turn them into candles of the finest quality. I can promise you: they smell absolutely divine too. Also really cozy are the knitted garments by LN |Beanies. From the most colorful beanies (obviously) to the perfect cable vest. You want cozy? They’ve got it.
Media Mania
Media Mania was the first communications company that contacted me way back when. I’ve loved visiting their showroom over the years as they work with brands I personally love such as Esprit, Pinko and NafNaf. We were welcomed with a most delicious Duc D’oh truffle and a cup of coffee, and then lead around by fellow blogger Nathalie, who works there. I discovered a few new brands while browisng the endless racks in the showroom, and I’d like to share them with you.
Julia June & La Pomme de Lovely
Julia June and La Pomme de Lovely were the first new-to-me brands that I discovered at Media Mania. With beautiful pastel colors and whimsical prints such as the Venetian print on the skirt above, it didn’t take me long to fall completely in love with the collections. The accessories from La Pomme de Lovely are the perfect match for the clothing designed by the team behind Julia June I think! It was snowing yesterday while I was selecting the photos for this post, and it only made me long for summer all the more.
Infini
A little less high-fashion one might argue, but I really loved the interchangeable jewelry line from Infini. They’re made out of felt, and each piece comes in a never ending variety of colors. It’s girly, it’s fun and you can personalize it to the fullest. I like!

Oona
Naomi sadly had to return home after Media Mania, so with a little bit of a scared heart I made my way to the Oona showroom alone. I felt really uncomfortable going there alone, even though there was nothing to be afraid off. I was welcomed by an intern who gave me a handy card with all the clients and projects for SS14. Handy, I say, because this showroom was HUGE. I took a breath and dived into the worlds of Essentiel, Magdalena, La fille d’oh and many, many more… 

I arrived at Oona a bit late, and almost everyone was getting ready to leave. At a certain point the showroom started to feel more like my personal store than a showroom. They had divided everything up into different themes, such as neon and jungle which I thought was a really fun idea. It really brought things together and the mannequins made the room look so much more like a store. I had a great time exploring the Oona showroom for the first time, and fell madly in love with the jewelry collections from Atelier 11 (not pictured) and Titto.

    De persdagen waren super! Aan de andere kant ik heb nu een wishlist van hier tot de andere kant van de wereld. Mooie dingen heb je uitgekozen! Amélie en ik hebben iets van een 7 persbureaus gedaan, crazy! Ik was dood:)

    Nikki, i think you chose the perfect 3 shops to showcase here. i can SO see why you fell hard for these wares, what a great selection. lots of colorful pieces and the idea of interchangeable jewelry is beyond brilliant!! what a fun thing to do with a fellow blogger friend, glad you girls enjoyed the day from beginning to end 🙂 happy weekend wishes!!
