Goodbye 2014

Goodbye 2014

2014 was going to be an average year. I had no special resolutions made, no exciting life events happening and no vacations planned, the only thing I was really excited about on New Years Eve were the friends I had around, the food on the table and the fireworks outside. For that night, I didn’t have to worry about my upcoming exams. 2014 was going to be an average year, but it ultimately became a very special one for me. Let me tell you a story. I’m good at those.  I’ve always been a wallflower. …

The last leaves have fallen

The last leaves have fallen

The last leaves have fallen and winter has come. The first layers of frost have made me curse about forgetting to put a scraper in the car and losing my gloves somewhere in my drawers. I scratched the windshield with my Ikea Family card and warmed my fingers with a take-away coffee. I am never ready for the first sting of winter, but at least I tried a little this year. A few months ago I was feeling down after life had been a bitch (there simply is no other word) and I needed a pick-me-up. Breakfast and a good&…

The Obligatory Fall Post

The Obligatory Fall Post

Whether or not I’m currently going through a midlife-crisis with The Ginger Diaries, I could not miss posting the obligatory fall post. Last year I followed a class where we learned how to properly write an academic paper. Well… it was supposed to learn us that. I can’t really say its mission was successful. Totes Amaze

dress: Madewell • bucket bag: H&M • belt: Mango • scarf: H&M • sandals: Tamaris I woke up this morning and felt like blogging. When I started the computer after my just-out-of-bed routine (shower-eat-brush your teeth) today, I didn’t click straight to Netflix. Some of my friends will call it a miracle when they read this. I saved the season 2 finale of The Vampire Diaries for after lunch, and spent my time resuscitating my blog instead. To liven up this blog will not be an easy task. My blogging skills are in critical condition, …

My Dublin Shopping List

Tomorrow morning I’m flying to Ireland and I will have a good few hours to spare before K arrives in Dublin as well (he’s currently in another Irish city for work). Because shopping is not my boyfriend’s favorite activity, I will stroll around Grafton …

Indian Summer Weather

dress: Madewell • cardigan: C&A • sandals: Tamaris I am writing this post on what remains of the enormous wave of adrenaline that just went through my body. I got my exam results and I unexpectedly passed my tests! We weren’t supposed to get our results back before the 12th and I was already nervous about that, because I wouldn’t be able to check them while I am in Dublin. Seriously, how can there still be hotels without WiFi? Knowing this, you can probably imagine the horror I felt when …
