Open garden days at Hex Castle

Open garden days at Hex Castle

The Flemish province of Limburg is to me, without doubt, the most beautiful of all. Spread unevenly through  the hilly landscape are large estates and castles, such as the beautiful domain of Hex. After exploring the Haspengouw region in May, I subscribed to a newsletter to inform me about other fun events and the first email I received included an invitation to the open garden days. I’m a girl and I love castles, so I knew I had to be there. I marked the September dates in my agenda, and used the two months …

sweater: J.Crew • denim shirt: American Eagle Outfitters • skirt: Ichi via Zalando • flats: Anne Klein You were not intended to see these photos. Ever. Never ever. But exams tend to mess with people’s schedules and all my photographers are either in Leuven or Antwerp, putting their best foot forward and nailing those inhumane questionnaires. And I’m at home. Trying to memorize 400 PowerPoint-slides full terminology that I strongly suspect my professor invented on scene. Due to the circumstances I had to dive into my image archives and pull out a series of photos I …

My dad is occupying the couch, sleep-watching Maid in Manhattan, so I thought I’d sit down and have a small one-way conversation with you guys in the meanwhile. Not that anyone would notice my new dress, considering the huge mass of fresh students that would be drumming inside the auditorium, but I still wanted to experience that special feeling of a back-to-school outfit. I know exactly the place to shop those kind of dresses, and fell in&…

Christmas in Brussels

Christmas in Brussels

Brussels is a city that really had to grow on me. With Antwerp no more than a single bus ride away, I too often left Brussels aside. It was that city we always would always visit on school field trips, but apart our one hour of free play inside the natural history museum we never got to do much exploring. It’s only since the start of this school year that Brussels has become a favorite one-day getaway location for us. Only 40 minutes from Antwerp, my boyfriend and I get to enjoy a city walk past new sights &…

Travel outfit: Warandepark, Brussels

sweater: H&M • Jeans: Gap • ankle boots via Spartoo • shoulderbag: Kate Spade “Little Minka” • earrings: H&M   A warm sweater for a frosty day out in Brussels. It’s an old favorite combination, that I used to wear at least once every week during winter when I was in high school. This sweater is six years old, and when I first bought it I was able to wear it as a …
