• The Marnix & Ally press room from my angle

It’s that time again where all the press agencies open up their doors for stylists, bloggers and other fashionistas to discover the newest collections from the brands they represent. Marnix & Ally is the newest kid on the block, and since I hadn’t been to their showroom before I really wanted to visit them during this weeks press days. They offer new and upcoming brands a platform and do a great job getting them out there. I receive their newsletters regularly and am always oooh’ing and aaah’ing over all the prettiness they send to my inbox.  I knew I could expect an overdose…

    21

I’m sitting behind my laptop, with a delicious slice of Victoria sponge cake and a cup of coffee. I’m smiling, because I turn 21 today. I had a great day today. Even though I had to kiss everyone in the office this morning. I hate that. Can’t we just shake hands? No? Please? Haha! I brought three cakes to work to celebrate, and even though they were a bit dry, they were delicious! I forgot I shared the day with a co-worker from the other office that’s on our floor so she had a box full of mini pastries to hand out…

    Out in the heath

Where K and I live, there’s  lots of almost untouched nature and  farming activity. Half of the cars on the road are used in agriculture and there are vegetable and fruit farms scattered through out the landscape. There’s a strawberry automat next to the road that leads from my town to K’s and it’s fully stocked again since this weekend! It’s a must stop when  we meet each other again at the end of the week. Hmmmmm. After eating what felt like my body weight in strawberries on Sunday morning, we decided to go check out a heath that apparently lies in between our hometowns. I…

    Antwerp: shopping, eating and seeing

Last weekend, K and I headed for the city to enjoy the first sunny days of Spring. It was a most amazing weekend with a visit to the local market and a long, loooong walk through the city and harbor  K picked out a nice old piece of cheese from his favorite market stand and I and finally got myself a huuuuge bag with a nut mix. We enjoyed our treats while catching up on series before we stretched our legs and started our very own tour d’Anvers. Ah. After months of shivering in the cold, it felt so nice to be out…

Breathing fresh air by the riverbanks

Forever 21 cardigan • Old navy shirt • Zara cargo pants • Jonak booties •  Essentiel bag Oh how this weekend was glorious! It feels like there has finally come an end to the everlasting cold. The promise of great sunshine and temperatures as high as 75 degrees made us flee into the city to enjoy a long walk by the riverside and eat ice creams until our tummies hurt. K surprised me with an early birthday dinner at one of my favorite places in town and he let me watch no less than 4 episodes of Once Upon A Time…

    Leopard lace dress? YES!

Real life is pretty much draining me these days. I’m running from here to there to everywhere at once, and I’ve been a bit down from all the buzzin’. Apart from that, I’m yet again experiencing a phase of blog puberty. This time it’s all about the expectations people seem to have of you when they hear the word “Blogger”. For one, there’s been a bit of a “discussion” going on here in Belgium about what a blogger is, is not and could be. A columnist called out to bloggers pretty much labeling them ignorant and dumb. That there is…
