A Mini Guide to Paris

A Mini Guide to Paris

Hi there, welcome back! I hope you guys are having a lovely week so far. I missed posting yesterday because it was a holiday (Mothersday) here in Belgium and I got so caught up in house work that I completely forgot to finish this blog post. But, here we are. Better late than never, am I right? Well, this post *really* is a latecomer. I’m throwing it way back here, back to a time where I was closer in age to 20 than 30, my hair was still long and I proudly wore leggings as pants out in public (apparently,&…

Jardin de Luxembourg in the fall

It has been almost a year since I last went to Paris. A whole year. These last 365 days have gone by faster than any time in my life and it doesn’t feel like time is slowing down. I never got around to post about all about our trip to Paris. Things happened shortly after and I disappeared from my blog for a while. I’m still not fully back into my old blogging routine, but now that fall is here again it feels right to share the photos I have been wanting to share since last …

Paris In The Fall

Paris In The Fall

Every girl, and definitely every girl with a quotes board on Pinterest, knows that Paris is always a good idea. But you know what’s even better? Paris in the fall! I’m bitten by the travel bug, so when K asked me this summer if I felt like going to Paris we immediately sealed the deal. A family weekend in Paris

A family weekend in Paris

In April, my mom, youngest sister and I went to Paris for a weekend. It was my fourth visit to the city of love and lights, but for both my mom and sister is was their first. You can imagine how excited they were! My sister mainly wanted to go shopping, so on our first day we headed to Le Marais to visit Ted Baker, Michael Kors and – my personal favorite – L’élclair de Génie, which you might remember from my last post about Paris! I didn’t find the blazer I was …

5 hours in paris

So yeah, this happened. And I still cannot entirely believe that it did. At first, my weekend wasn’t looking up to be a good one. Lots of PowerPoint presentations to catch up on, tens of papers to read, an extra college to attend, spending all my leftover money on school books and feeling a little sick made me feel pretty stressed at the end of the week.  When K asked me on Saturday if I felt like driving down …

Versailles

Versailles

A little outside of paris there’s a beautiful domain named Versailles. The castle seems like it’s made of gold and the gardens are immense! Versailles was my favorite part of our trip (and probably K’s too). We had amazing weather, all the flowers were blossoming and the ponds were full of people in little boats. To add to all the magic there was music by Mozart. This year we also had time to visit the Marie Antoinette mansion. We took a nap under a tree, drank fresh orange juice, wandered around the gardens and …
