On November 8th and 9th, the PR bureaus in Antwerp hosted their yearly Spring/Summer Press Days. Imagine: racks of pretty summer clothes, goodies and yummy food. Every girls dream! Renée, Siel and I teamed up for the tour and made it a girl day out!
First stop for the day was Media Mania. They represent brands such as Pinko, Banana Moon, NafNaf and Addidas. From the gorgeous frocks from Naf Naf to pretty little summer bags from Pinko, we truly did not know where to look first! My absolute favorite in their showroom is the little mint purse you see in the last photo. With a white dress and cute sandals? Yes please!

Second stop, and probably the one I looked forward to the most, was Bestseller. I stopped by their showroom for the FW 2012 press days earlier this year and spotted this gorgeous orange blouse from Vero Moda. Their spring/summer collections did not disappoint either. I completely fell in love with a pastel dress from Vila with a special detail in the back. It won’t hit the stores until August, but I can promise you: that dress will be in my wardrobe next fall!
De Hovre PR
We ended our tour at De Hovre PR. Their showroom and brands were completely new to me but boy, I was impressed! They represent Shoes on the cake (with brands like House of Harlow) and Clio. They are currently also working to create a name for Mavi jeans, a relatively new brand in Belgium but already famous in neighboring countries like Germany. Their floral jeans were so pretty! The pretty walkers you see in the pictures above are from Dolce Dolce and sister brand Lolo. Renée loved their brogues and I spotted a perfect pair of Ballet flats!
I know I’m not a real trend spotter, but before you go and clean out your summer wardrobes you might want to know what trends are waiting for us after winter! Here’s the things I saw:
- Lots and lots of neon and brights! From tops and bikinis to purses and scarves. Don’t donate those neon items just yet.
- Pastel jeans. Last years mint jeans will still be a hot item next summer.
- Delicate Details. Sweaters with lace edges, sequined shoulders and gold threads woven into dresses, I saw a lot of delicate details to beautify basic shapes.
- Cut backs. My ultimate fave and a trend I don’t yet have in my closet is something with a cut out back. So pretty and less obvious then a low neckline.
I had a great time with the girls. Thanks again to Media Mania, Bestseller and De Hovre PR for inviting us to their wonderful worlds. I can’t wait for summer to come!
